LOOP stands for "Low-carbon Office Operation Program", organized by the WWF (World Wide Fund) to encourage Hong Kong companies and organizations to become part of the solution to climate change. LOOP’s goal is to reduce participating organizations’ greenhouse gas emissions generated from office operations via the adoption of managerial and technological best practices, staff behavioral adaptation, and a labeling scheme.
Based on ISO 14064 (Greenhouse Gas Accounting and Reporting Management System), the Leo Paper headquarters in Hong Kong participated in the program in 2010 to promote low-carbon practices throughout our offices. A LOOP assessment was conducted in September 2010, and Leo was awarded with a “Gold Label” under the labeling scheme.
Leo is well aware of how environmental change affects human beings and the eco-system. The promotion of low carbon practice is essential in reducing carbon footprints. Our participation in this program is also in line with Leo’s commitment to be a low-carbon enterprise.
