On December 28, 2016, our Heshan Astros main manufacturing plant was recognized by the Printing Technology Association of China for Special Contribution in Green Printing (Products Manufacturing Unit) at the presentation ceremony held in Beijing, China. Our Director, Mr. Simon Fung, received this recognition on behalf of the Group. Participants in the event included government officials from the Ministry of Environmental Protection of The People’s Republic of China, the General Administration of Press and Publication, Radio, Film, and Television, associated members of the awarding association and media representatives.
There were total 40 enterprises and organizations that were awarded under the Special Contribution in Green Printing Recognition in 2016. It was classified into six key categories including: products manufacturing unit; standard, testing and accreditation unit; organizational planning unit; technical equipment research unit; research, development and education unit as well as the promotion and display unit.
Green printing has been one of the key policies under the China Government’s 12th Five-Year Plan. This has become a hot topic and focal point among industry leaders and the media. There is a trend towards more enterprises in China striving to move into green printing. This recognition affirms our factory’s efforts in green operations and initiatives and further motivates us to make continuous improvement in the long run.
