Costco’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Assessment

201503131536
After a series of Costco’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) assessments held at our Heshan factory, China, in February, we obtained an overall result of 94.4, which is the highest level of class rankings. The assessment is valid for one year and no further audits are required.

The Costco GMP assessment is comparable to combining together the audits of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Performed by an independent third-party accredited organization, this assessment covers seven criteria:

•  Management Commitment and Continual Improvement
•  Risk Management
•  Quality Management Systems
•  Sites and Facilities Management
•  Product Control
•  Personnel Training and Competency
•  Industry module

Successfully passing the assessment is one of the pre-requisites for being a qualified supplier to manufacture products for Costco. The outstanding assessment result revealed that our overall performances in the aforementioned 7 key criteria are verified, thereby confirming Leo’s manufacturing capability complies with Costco’s requirements. This not only reinforces our quality control and management efforts, but also reaffirms our dedication to supporting our clients’ needs and our commitment to exploring opportunities with Costco.
