The 2021 Hong Kong Green and Sustainable Finance Awards ceremony was held on December 3, 2021 at the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency (HKQAA) Symposium Sustainable Finance and Climate Resilience on the Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong. The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Mrs. Carrie Lam, officiated the event in conjunction with special guests Mr. Christopher Hui, the Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, and Mr. Tse Chin Wan, who works under the Secretary for the Environment.
We are proud to announce that Leo received 3 awards for our efforts in 2021. We won the “Outstanding Award for Green and Sustainable Loan Issuer (Printing & Communication Industry) - Visionary Green Loan Framework” for the second year in a row, and our CFO and Group Director, Mr. King Lai, received the Leadership Award for Green and Sustainable Finance Development. Our banking partner Mr. Francis Leung, Managing Director of Mizuho Bank, Ltd., and Ms. Winnie Mak, Assistant Manager of our Group’s Finance Department jointly received the Strategist Award for Green and Sustainable Finance Development.
The HKQAA organizes the
Hong Kong Green and Sustainable Finance Awards to recognize the efforts and contributions of organizations, leaders and strategists dedicated to promoting the issuance of green and sustainable financial instruments in Hong Kong. In 2021, thirty-six organizations, including financial institutions and corporations, were recognized from Hong Kong, mainland China and overseas. In total, thirty-eight leaders and sixty-six strategists received awards for their work.
