Leo’s Environmental Commitment And Performance Were Reaffirmed - GREEN PLUS Recognition Award

201411241200
For more than a decade, Leo has been dedicated to continuously improving our green manufacturing performance. We are recognized as a leading organization in creating new standards for green manufacturing, dedicated to reducing the ecological footprint of our clients’ products.

This year, our environmental commitment and performance were reaffirmed during the GREEN PLUS Recognition Award ceremony in Hong Kong as the winner under the category “Hong Kong Investment in Mainland (China)”. The ceremony was organized by CLP, one of Hong Kong’s dominant electric companies, with judges from various government departments, environmental organizations, academic institutes, and other NGOs who conducted a very stringent selection process among the 500 participating organizations.

In the past year, a series of environmental improvement projects were carried out, such as replacing existing equipment with new energy-efficient machinery, the reconstruction of a transformer and the implementation of the Energy Management System at different levels. All of these initiatives have not only significantly improved environmental results at our factory, but also benefited our stakeholders across the supply chain as a whole. The improvement results of our factory have also met the target assigned by the China Government, including the national policy of carbon reduction, which is expected to be further reinforced after APEC 2014.

We continue to share our environmental initiatives with our counterparts in Hong Kong. Invited by Metro Radio, our Director, Mr. C.M. Yeung, shared our latest green initiatives on Oct 14, 2014, with audiences of Metro Finance, a popular radio channel that focuses on financial information. And on Oct 10, 2014, the General Manager of our Integrated Management Department, Mr. Albert Lee, shared our experience implementing the QC 080000 management system during the IECQ QC 080000 HSPM seminar organized by the Hong Kong Productivity Council.
