Aligning with our sustainability policy, we have been putting a lot of effort towards promoting, operating and living in a more environmentally friendly manner. 2015 was the third consecutive year that we have participated in and obtained the Green Office Award under the United Nations Millennium Development Goals Green Office Awards Labelling Scheme (GOALS).
Organized by the World Green Organization (WGO) in Hong Kong, the United Nations Millennium Development Goals Green Office Awards Labelling Scheme (GOALS) aims to raise local business awareness of global environmental challenges. The scheme encourages offices to evaluate their environmental footprint, identify reduction opportunities and take an active role in improving office environments in order to go Green in 9 stipulated aspects of operations.
Through this scheme, we had the opportunity to share our green experience with other participants. It also facilitated our connection with the community’s drive towards a low carbon city. In the future, we will continue to serve as a role model to others in the industry, encouraging our Leonians, suppliers, customers, community and stakeholders to work together to achieve a Green Harmony® society and world.
