Over the years, we have put a lot of effort and resources into producing consistent standardized color. As a result of our efforts we achieved the level of G7 Master in 2010. The G7 program is managed by the Idealliance, a not-for-profit association of leading print and electronic media service providers and their technology partners. During the G7 Certificate Presentation Ceremony and Technical Seminar held in the last quarter of 2015, Idealliance recognized and certified that Leo has maintained proven excellence as a G7 Master qualified enterprise for over five consecutive years.
G7, the Idealliance proof-to-print process, is based on principles of digital imaging, spectrophotometry, and computer-to-plate (CTP) technologies. It can be applied to all types of 4C printing including commercial printing, newsprint, flexo and digital printing. This methodology utilizes the existing ISO 12647 Standards as the basis for good printing. The goal is to specify a simple calibration process that will help printers reliably achieve as close of a “visual match” as possible from proof to press. G7 is named for its gray scale calibration technique and the 7 ISO ink colors it requires. G7 Master Qualification is granted to a facility proven capable of performing G7 by a certified G7 Expert. The G7 Master Qualification is valid for one year and must be renewed annually.
