Leo has been a pioneer of carbon reporting and management in the region since our first carbon certification of ISO 14064-1:2006 Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions in 2010. In 2011, our PAS 2050 certification for Product Carbon Footprint further enhanced our capability to calculate and report the carbon footprint for individual products from a life-cycle perspective. In February 2015 we became the first company in the printing industry to successfully obtain the Hong Kong Certification Body Accreditation Scheme (HKCAS) accredited ISO 14064-1 verification statement issued by the independent third-party audit organization, SGS.
The HKCAS is a scheme operated under the Hong Kong Accreditation Service (HKAS), which offers accreditation of certification bodies for greenhouse gas validation and verification. HKAS is a member of the International Accreditation Forum (IAF).
The verification provides additional assurance of the quantification and reporting of our direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions at the organizational level. It also confirms for you, our clients, that we are dedicated to developing and implementing well-recognized management systems in a scientific, transparent and reliable manner to manage our environmental aspects.
