Our Leonians and school students also participated in the competition with outstanding performances. The competition was based on 3 main job skills (graphic printing media technology, graphic design technology, and process printing) and sub-divided into a total of 7 categories amongst 2 groups of participants, students and staff & workers. Our school students won champion status in the category of Graphic Design Technology in the student group. While our staff and workers group received 3 prizes. Among them, one Leonian won third runner-up and has been awarded the honor of “National Skillful Expert.” With the Group’s full support, our school provides an all-round learning, on-the-job training and working environment for both our school students and Leonians and encourage them to participate in this national competition.
Our Jiangmen Astros Vocational and Technical School is so far the first provincial school in the Guangdong Province to assist in organizing this kind of huge national competition. The competition’s spokesman admired and appreciated our school as the best of the best in terms of organization and logistics arrangement, etc. amongst the past few competitions. Our school opened in September 2010, and our Teachers and Students Dormitory was completed in 2012. Its well-equipped and comprehensive facilities provide a prerequisite for the competition venue and hospitality needs. Leo, as a responsible corporate citizen, has always emphasizes people development, so over the years we have put a lot of effort into nurturing our people and supporting our community. The school provides full-time vocational education for students through work-study programs with emphasis on five areas: ethics, mentality, physique, art appreciation and industriousness. It also provides scholarship opportunities to families in need. This is indeed not only good for our Group’s development but more importantly, we hope to be a role model for other players and suppliers in the industry and community. This helps enhance the quality of people who can contribute to the long-term community growth and development.
