We are excited about winning the 2021-22 Hong Kong Awards for Industries (HKAI) in the category of the Upgrading and Transformation. The award presentation ceremony in March was postponed because of the recent pandemic outbreak in Hong Kong.
Supported by the Government, the HKAI aims to recognize the outstanding performance and achievements of Hong Kong enterprises in enhancing their competitiveness in various aspects. Among the six different categories, the objectives of the Upgrading and Transformation category are to encourage and recognize those enterprises that have reformed their core business to adapt to ever-changing market and business environment through participating in the Upgrading and Transformation Program to remain competitive among Hong Kong enterprises. It also affirms the importance of Upgrading and Transformation in industrial sector as well as Hong Kong’s economy.
Committed to be customer-focused and continuous improvement, at Leo, we have been enhancing our business model throughout many decades. In order to enhance our manufacturing performance from traditional labor-intensive basis, we introduced Lean manufacturing in 2007. Since then, we have been paving the way of transforming into Smart manufacturing. The Leo “Factory Next” initiative was launched in 2018 to help achieve digital transformation and shape our future factory model. This forward-looking initiative has been integrating the Lean upgrade, agile manufacturing and ERP. Our remarkable progresses and achievements in terms of sales performance, productivity, quality, energy-efficiency and risk management enhancement over the past few years were recognized by the judging panel.
