Our Hong Kong head office was once again awarded with the Platinum Label, the highest ranking award in the Low-carbon Office Operation Program (LOOP) 2013, organized by WWF-Hong Kong. This is the second consecutive year that Leo received this prestigious award. Mr. Albert Lee represented Leo Paper Group and attended the Labeling Award Presentation Ceremony on January 9, 2014.
As a forward-looking leader in environmental performance, Leo has been participating in LOOP for several years. We reduced our greenhouse gas emissions generated from office operations via “4C”, Commitment, Calculation, Cut and Communication. In 2013, the total carbon emissions of our headquarters office were reduced by 5.6% compared to 2012.
This outstanding result has been attributed to the commitment of our top management team, efforts of the environmental representatives from each department and the participation of all Leonians. The environmental performance of Leo has been well recognized and praised in recent years. It is expected that all Leonians will continue to redouble our green efforts for an even greater environmental performance of the company as well as to contribute to the sustainable development of the earth.
In addition to our participation in LOOP, Leo is a supporter of WWF-Hong Kong and has been a pearl member of the WWF Corporate Membership Program since 2008.
